Pyro-Duct™ 597-A is an one-part, silver-filled, electrically and thermally conductive adhesive used to produce electronic and high vacuum components for applications to 1700°F (927°C). It is an advanced high temperature compound formulated using high purity silver powders combined with a proprietary inorganic binder system.
The electrical resistivity of the Pyro-Duct 597-A is dramatically better than conventional epoxy-based conductive adhesives that are based on non-conductive epoxy resins. It is a water-dispersible system that contains no organic resins or solvents. It sets at room temperature in 1-2 hours and heat cures in 1-2 hours at 200°F. In the uncured state, Pyro-Ducttm is easily cleaned using warm water and soap.
Typical applications for Pyro-Duct 597-A include sensors used in high vacuum systems, mounting single crystalline wafers for electroscopic analysis, high temperature connectors, specialty lighting, and semiconductor components.
